The Underwater Recovery Team is a division of the Tonawanda Auxiliary Police. The team consists of certified divers who volunteer and dedicate their time and skills to help the citizens of Tonawanda and the surrounding communities. The team trains multiple times per month and is on call twenty four hours a day. Members of the team have opportunities to recieve specialized training and attend public safety dive conferences with other teams throughout the state. All applicants must be a certified diver from a nationally recognized agency and must own thier own SCUBA gear.
